Qualifications In First Line Management From Award to Diploma Print E-mail

 

These qualifications have been specifically designed to give practising or aspiring first line managers a solid foundation in their formal development as a manager.

The Programme is available on an individual basis, through coaching.  Participants may commence the programme at any time. Fees are paid at the end of each coaching session.

The Award:

The full Diploma Programme begins here. However if you are not in a position to complete the entire Diploma you may register for the Award in First Line Management when you have this section completed.  The Award  is designed to develop practical techniques for tackling managerial problems and making decisions from gathering information through to effective communication of outcomes.

The Certificate:

The Certificate follows on from the Award and is a more comprehensive programme that builds and broadens the skills and knowledge gained in the Award.

Mandatory units include:

  • Understanding Change
  • Planning change
  • Achieving objectives through effective time management

The Diploma:

The Diploma develops a comprehensive range of management skills. The qualification builds on the Award and Certificate and enables participants to reach their full potential with first line management.

Mandatory units include:

  • Business communication
  • Managing creativity and innovation in the workplace
  • Obtaining information for effective management
  • Managing customer service
  • Giving briefings and making presentations

Candidates may join the qualification at any stage - Award, Certificate or Diploma.

Flexibility: All candidates are able to choose from a diverse range of optional units to build their qualification. This allows participants and/or the organisation to custom build a qualification focusing on the key areas of first line management that are most relevant to the demands of a specific role, industry or organisation. These qualifications can be fully tailored to meet the needs of learners across all employment sectors.
